I might have to listen to this one. I’ve recently discovered that Keith Law sits at the intersection of 3 of my favorite hobbies: genre fiction, boardgames, and baseball. If he was a Transformers fan, it’d be the perfect quad(?)fecta.
@SaltMazZ: He also really loves cooking and Top Chef.
Tops & tails, eh? Got it. Sorry.
Great podcast! Really enjoyed getting some perspective on science fiction and fantasy from someone who reads a ton of everything, and isn’t completely immersed in the community. I agree with the idea that story and character are paramount, but I also like when books offer some mind-expanding vision of society, technology etc. And I’m willing to tolerate some limited flaws in storytelling and character development towards that.
